Freesat+ Foxsat-HDR

Humax has introduced the Freesat+ Foxsat-HDR, a Freeview+ esque set-top box.

The HDR sports a 320GB hard drive roomy enough to hold 80 hours of HD programmes or 200 hours of lesser quality standard def.

There's an eight-day EPG that promises to make it easy to plan any future recording action, with twin tuners able to record two channels simultaneously.

They also enable pause, rewind and fast forward of live TV alongside series recording, schedule tracking and split recording. Digital text, Dolby Digital output, HDMI, parental control and a couple of SCART sockets round out the package.

Humax claims that on its November launch it will be the only way to pause, rewind and record Freesat HD digital TV and access SD TV, radio and interactive channels.

Arriving in November, it will cost around £300, though satellite installation is obviously not included in that price.
