Samsung has announced it is working on and has near completed a new line of televisions featuring DivX compatibility.

The South Korean company has signed a multi-year deal with DivX to deliver a slew of DivX playing displays, with the first slated to arrive early next year.

The televisions will be able to play back DivX files directly via incorporated USB ports or Ethernet connection. Samsung already offers a range of DivX certified products, from DVD players to mobile phones, and there are already over 100million DivX playing devices worldwide.
