Toshiba REGZA ZV Series
Following a raft of new releases at this year's IFA technology show, Toshiba has announced the launch of its new REGZA ZV TV series, that the company claims is the world's first to upscale standard definition.
The ZV Series features Tosh's new Resolution+ tech, which employs a cell processor algorithm to increase image detail, converting standard def quality into near High-Definition.
The 1080p panels are available in 42in and 46in models, support 24p and feature Tosh's Active Vision M100 HD 100Hz picture processing with 5:5 pulldown sequencing and double the image refresh rate.
Also incorporated is 10-bit colour processing, dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1, NICAM and SRS WOW sonic technology, three v 1.3 HDMI ports and of course an integrated digital tuner.
Available in gloss black, the 42in model will retail at £900 and the 46in at £1,200 when they go on sale in December.
