Toshiba REGZA 32LV67U 32" LCD HDTV Now you can play your entertainment library on one versatile machine. Since the Toshiba REGZA 32LV67U has both a DVD player and a 32-inch screen, you won't have to worry about connecting different electronic components in order to watch your favorite program. This convenience is matched only by its smart, stylish design. The Value of LCD TVsAside from their obvious aesthetic value, LCD TVs are much more practical in the home than CRT (tube-style) televisions. They take up a smaller footprint, and thus use up less floor space in the room. Also, LCD TVs are lighter and easier to move around when cleaning or redecorating. The Toshiba REGZA 32LV67U is only 4.65 inches deep and weighs less than 37 pounds. Best of all, LCD screens use less power than CRTs and plasma screens. Full-Featured DVD PlayerThe 32LV67 includes an integrated, slot-loading DVD player. It has upconverting technology that improves the standard picture definition of regular DVDs to match the 1366 x 768 (720p HDTV) display resolution of the 32LV67. Customer Reviews Pretty good, but not perfect Overall I am happy with this TV. It is great for hanging on the bedroom wall because you do not need a place to put a DVD player since it is built in. Also, the picture quality is good enough. However there are a couple of things I don't like, only one of which is really Toshiba's fault. For one, if you want to watch digital or HD cable or satellite, you still need a decoder box, so there goes the clean setup of just putting the TV on the wall and being done with it. And if you want high definition DVDs (bluray) then you would need an external player anyway, but of course none of this is Toshiba's fault. The main problem with this TV is the PC input. Sometimes I have movies on my laptop that I would like to play on the TV. However the PC input is almost worthless. This is a 16:9 TV, but the PC input only supports 4:3 inputs on the PC input. So there are always black bars on the side, and in the PC input mode you can't stretch the image. So if you are watching a 16:9 movie on your laptop and you hook it up to this TV, you get a very small widescreen movie in the center of the screen surrounded by mostly black. Many other TVs (like Samsung) are not like this and support 16:9 on the PC input. Enthusiastic About Toshiba! Having recently had an experience with another brand of DVD television, I am very happy with the Toshiba with built-in DVD that I purchased. The quality of the picture is outstanding. The sound for the DVD is good. And the overall sound from the television is quite good. I use a hearing aid in each ear and the sound is a critical issue for me. The remote control is so self-explanatory that I have felt no need to consult the manual. The primary reason for buying this Toshiba, though, was the built-in DVD, which is so much more convenient for me than a separate unit. If it matters to you, the DVD slot and controls are on the left side of the TV if you're facing it. Toshiba REGZA 32LV67U 32" LCD HDTV by Toshiba REGZA LCD HDTV |
