Freestyle's impressively monikered Soundwave MP3 player is waterproof to an equally impressive ten feet, meaning swimmers, snorkelers and festival-goers no longer need worry about indulging in their chosen pursuits at the risk of their beloved portable jukebox. Handily, it also benefits from a 'shock resistant design', making it a little sturdier than the average.

Spec-wise, it houses a pretty puny 2GB memory, but it should be enough to keep you entertained for a workout in the pool. It plays MP3, WMA and DRM protected files, and sports an FM radio with channel presets. A small black and blue OLED screen displays track info. It comes with waterproof earbuds with standard line-in jack so you can use normal buds out of the water and an arm strap, though it floats should a spot of particularly virulent breast stroke wrench it loose. The rechargeable batter claims 18hours playback from a single charge.
