US company Fuse 101 Brands America has launched a credit crunch beating BD spinner under its Olevia brand name for sale exclusively through US home goods store Target.

The player retails for a very reasonable $229, or around £130 in real money. The player is Profile 1.1 enabled for access to BD features like Bonus View, and touts 5.1-channel audio support with Dolby Digital and progressive scan among its primary features.

Launched in the run-up to the Christmas rush and dressed in a glossy black livery, it is designed to complement a new range of TVs and home cinema systems also from Olevia.

The company is further promising super cheap Profile 2.0 and BD Live enabled models in the future.
