Tributaries Cable HXMini5

Florida based company Tributaries Cable has announced the HXMini5, a device that can send Full HD HDMI video with audio more than 100metres with no loss of AV quality or reliability, retaining total compatibility with the HDMI 1.3 standard.

The two-piece HXMini5 comprises a powered transmitter and separate receiver. The unit has a single HDMI port for connection to a source such as a set-top box or BD spinner and to a destination such as HDTV or AV receiver.

The Tributaries extender is fully HDCP compliant so is good to go with all HDMI enabled products, and thanks to its 1.3 credentials supports everything from HD audio from the likes of Dolby and DTS to HD image effects like DeepColor and CEC multi component control (BRAVIA Link/VIERA Link etc etc).

Best of all, says Tributaries, the HXMini5's self-calibrating active amplification and equalisation and buffered output circuitry automatically adapt to cable length and signal rate, eliminating signal losses to ensure pristine HD video and unimpaired audio performance, regardless of distance.

The HXMini5 is available now, retailing at $450.
