IXOS has released its HDMI problem solver, the shouty STUDIO XHE228. A high-speed two-in/one-out auto HDMI v1.3 switcher, it connects two HDMI sources to a single display and works automatically between the two.

Rated v1.3a, it can deliver Full HD 1080p performance up to a length of 15m and is rated to the same standard as the company's commercial HDMI switchers.

It also supports standard definition and all forms of HD signal, and is HDCP compliant. IXOS says it is perfect for anyone with an entry-level or slightly older flatpanel screen that has only one HDMI input. At the same time, with gold plated connectors it is also promised to be ultra reliable for long-term installations.

Available now, the STUDIO-XHE228 retails at £50.
