New from Sanyo is the extremely sizeable PLC-XTC50L projector, aimed directly at the high, dare we say commercial, end of the market.

The first projector to feature the 'Auto Lamp Selection System', the XTC50L delivers 6,000 hours of use 'without the need for lamp maintenance', which the company claims is twice as long as conventional one-lamp models.

The system auto selects one of its two lamps to project from based on user preference or pre-programmed settings, or simply if the other lamp fails.

Your £5,000 plus VAT will also buy you a range of compatible short and long throw lens options, horizontal and vertical lens shift and keystone correction.

The PLC-XTC50L goes on sale in January 2009.
