Teufel Audio Brand
The German audio brand Teufel has announced it is launching a speaker product range for the UK market, which it is promised will provide for the entire spectrum from iPod speakers to entry-level 5.1 systems and high-end audiophile solutions.
With 30 years of expertise and history, Teufel should be a significant new addition for the consumer and will ruffle the feathers of well-established rivals in Blighty.
On sale directly from the company website, examples include the Motiv 2 2.1 'high-end' desktop speaker system retailing at €299, the Impaq 400 virtual surround sound 2.1 system complete with DVD player and AV receiver at €599, the LT 2 5.1-channel column speaker set at €899 and the System 6 THX Select 5.1-channel system at €1445. Something for everyone then.
The company offers an in-home trial period of its products alongside an eight-week return period. High on style and, apparently, with the sonic credentials to boot, now all we can do is hope the exchange rate sorts itself out so we can nab a bargain.
